Posey County Sheriff’s Office officials say a man was arrested Wednesday on child molesting charges.
According to a press release, deputies received a call just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday for an alleged sex offense involving a juvenile.
The victim’s mother contacted EPD and informed them of the sex crime. It was discovered during the investigation that the offense took place in Posey County.
The juvenile was taken to Holly’s House for a forensic interview Wednesday, where she told officials about the man who was allegedly molesting her.
Detectives conducted additional interviews, which gained probable cause to arrest 39-year-old Jacob Husk of Mt. Vernon.
Husk was arrested and transported to the Posey County Jail for child molesting.
He is currently being held without bond.
