A 36-year-old Fort Wayne man was arrested and charged with four felonies Thursday in connection to the sexual abuse of a girl starting when she was in first grade.
Andrew Michael Hambrock has been charged with three counts of felony child molesting and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors. The charges carry a more than 90-year potential sentence.
Hambrock is accused of sexually abusing the girl several times over four years, according to a probable cause affidavit written by Fort Wayne Police Officer Charles Volz. He allegedly told the girl not to tell her mom about the abuse.
The defendant did not agree to do an interview with Volz, but allegedly told a Department of Child Services case manager he first assaulted the girl when she was in first grade, court records show. He said the last time was when she was 8 years old.
The victim recalled seeing Hambrock watching porn and he asked her if she was interested in it.
Police say Hambrock took off both his and the girl’s clothing and placed the victim’s hand on his “private.”
Police say Hambrock admitted to the Department of Child Services to having sex with the girl multiple times.
An arrest warrant was issued for Hambrock who was taken into custody by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department-Warrants Division around 3:17 p.m. on Thursday in the 6000 block of Kent Road.
